1. Match the extension to your auger
Each Digga extension is made for one auger series and has the same hub, so it connects straight up with no adaptor. Pick it by the auger you run, then check your drive is within its rating.
| Extension | Suits augers | Hub | Drives up to | Torque rating | Lengths |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| X4 | A4, RC4 | 65 mm round | PD4 | 4,200 Nm | 500 to 1,500 mm |
| XO75 and XT75 | A6, RC6, DR6 | 75 mm square | PD7 | 7,200 Nm | 1,000 to 2,500 mm |
| XO75HD and XT75HD | A8, RC8, DR8 | 75 mm square | PD22 (XO75HD), PD15 (XT75HD) | 23,000 Nm (XO75HD), 14,000 Nm (XT75HD) | 1,000 to 5,000 mm |
| XO100 and XT100 | RC10, RC11, DR11 | 100 mm square | PD50 | 40,000 Nm | 1,000 to 4,000 mm |
| XO100HD | RC11, DR11 | 100 mm square | SD95 | 95,000 Nm | 1,000 to 4,000 mm |
2. Outer or inner (telescopic)?
Outer extensions (the X4 and every XO) fit between the drive and the auger. The hub and shaft are welded, which keeps play down for a straighter hole. Inner extensions (XT) are telescopic and slide inside the auger. With the XT75, start with it fully inside the auger. When you reach full depth, let some out, pin it and keep drilling, with no need to stop and add another length. Inner extensions also store inside the auger, so they take less room on the truck.
3. Check an inner fits inside your auger
An inner extension needs room inside the auger, so it won't fit the smallest sizes. The XT75 won't fit inside A6, RC6 or DR6 augers of 300 mm and under, and the XT75HD won't fit inside augers of 450 mm and under. For the XT100, tell us your auger size and we'll check it.
4. Allow for made-to-order lengths
Longer heavy duty lengths are made to order: XO75HD and XT75HD from 3,000 mm, and every XO100, XT100 and XO100HD. Allow extra lead time for those. Tell us your drive and auger when you order and we'll check the extension suits both.
